I Stopped Settling And Built the Dry Shampoo I Wished Existed

Two years ago, I hit a breaking point.
Not because nothing worked, I was using a dry shampoo I already knew and trusted. But the more I used it, the more I started questioning it. Every time I applied it, it felt like clouds of product were swirling into the air, and I couldn’t shake the thought:
This can’t be great to be breathing in every few days.

So I stopped.

And instead of searching endlessly for another option, I had a thought that changed everything:

So I did.

If you had told me a few years ago that something I started in my basement would turn into this, I probably would’ve laughed and said, You’re dreaming, buddy. Good Ass Hair Day didn’t start with a business plan or a perfectly curated launch. It started with frustration, curiosity, and a gut feeling that there had to be a better way. And honestly? It started with all of you. The Early Days (aka: learning as I went) In the beginning, GAHD looked like: Packing orders by hand (usually late at night) Less-than-perfect labels A lot of “let’s try this and see what happens” Me figuring things out in real time I didn’t have all the answers. I didn’t wait until things were perfect. I just started. From the jump, I knew I wanted to do things differently. Simpler ingredients, less waste, products that actually last. Hair care that works with your life instead of adding more to your plate. It wasn’t fancy, but it was honest. It Was Never Just About Hair Yes, GAHD makes hair products.But this brand has never been just about hair. New Year, CLEAN You: My 2026 Hair Reset

Is it just me, or is that “fresh start” energy already starting to hit? We’re officially in that weird week between Christmas and New Year's where we all start looking at our habits and thinking, “Okay, 2026 is the year I finally get my life together.” Usually, that means gym memberships or green juices, but let’s be real, I’m starting with something way more manageable (and honestly, more satisfying): my hair. If you’ve been wanting to prioritize your hair health but don't want a 12-step routine that takes two hours, I’ve got you. This is the easiest routine to take into the new year, and it’s exactly how I keep my hair healthy while doing the absolute least. You guys know I’m the queen of the 7-day hair cycle. I wash every Sunday (it’s my favorite part of my Sunday Reset), and I go a whole week between washes without ever looking like a greaseball.
